Create a shared vision and culture for using technology to learn and accelerate transformation through the coaching process.
 I chose this artifact because it shows my ability to develop, communicate, and implement a successful instructional technology environment for all students. My educational philosophy is a reflective paper focused on the integration of educational technology in order to enhance the learning for all students. I wrote this paper in 2013 when I started this program. The technology I reference to is outdated but my philosophy still holds true. My philosophy on the use of technology as an educational tool is focused on access to technology, adequate amount of time to learn new technology, and the ability to integrate technology with  learning.

Cultivate a supportive coaching culture that encourages educators and leaders to achieve a shared vision and individual goals. I chose this artifact because it demonstrates my ability to plan, develop, communicate, implement, and evaluate an instructional technology integration plan at school level. My standard based unit plan’s learning goal is for 3rd grade students to know how to use the color wheel to better understand color. This 5 lesson unit infuses technology in order to engage and enhance the learning. I developed this plan in 2013, so the technology is outdated, over time the digital tools used for this lesson have changed.  Today I integrate interactive paint mixing games and more advanced digital art software. I use this lesson as an example of how to effectively integrate instructional technology into a curriculum.

ISTE C 4.1.d
Recognize educators across the organization who use technology effectively to enable high-impact teaching and learning.
I chose this artifact because it demonstrates my ability to advocate for policies, procedures, programs, and funding strategies that support an instructional technology integration plan that is backed by the school and community. My Technology Advocacy Plan’s goal is to increase the number of students taking STEM classes in high school. This is one of our district’s goals knowing the increase in STEM based careers and the need for employees. Students interested in a STEM career need to take STEM courses in high school in order to start a higher education STEM program with the same level of knowledge as their classmates.  Yet, the number of students taking STEM classes in high school remains low. Starting students in elementary school is proven to increase students' interest in STEM classes in higher education. Also, by starting a STEM program in elementary, students are able to acquire the skills, strategies, and experiences needed to be successful in future STEM courses. My plan supports my district’s vision for an increase in students participating in high school STEM courses by proposing a research-based, elementary STEM program.

ISTE C 4.1.e
Connect leaders, educators, instructional support, technical support, domain experts and solution providers to maximize the potential of technology for learning. I chose this artifact because it demonstrates my ability to install basic software and hardware that support student learning. In the video, I describe a friction experiment  that involved the LoggerPro software and a Vernier Temperature Probe. I effectively downloaded the software and connected the temperature probe allowing me to complete the experiment. Both the LoggerPro software and the Vernier temperature Probe are examples of digital learning that I need to troubleshoot before an experiment could take place.
